On Saturday, many Parisians took advantage of the sunny weather to meet on the banks of the Seine.

But the barrier gestures were not always respected and the police decided to evacuate the docks.

The police evacuated in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday the quays of the Seine where the sun and the mild temperature had attracted Parisians in numbers who did not respect the barrier gestures during this period of heavy traffic of the Covid-19.

The Paris police headquarters posted several tweets calling for respect for barrier gestures on the quays (wearing a mask and physical distancing), before deciding to disperse the small groups and evacuate the quays.

The same was true last week, but the police intervened shortly before the 6 p.m. curfew.

For this weekend, the police headquarters banned alcohol consumption on the banks of the Seine and the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin from 11 am to 6 pm, as well as in several other places in the capital.

The virus is actively circulating in Ile-de-France

At the beginning of the morning, during the presentation of the massive vaccination operation during the weekend, the prefect of police, Didier Lallement, had warned that if he noticed in demonstrations or gatherings a non-respect of barrier gestures, he would intervene to put an end to it.
