Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - 733 new corona cases were confirmed in Hesse within one day.
The number of deaths associated with the virus rose by 14 to 5,930, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Saturday (as of 3:11 a.m.).
The seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, was 67.5 across the country and thus slightly lower than the previous day (68.9).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 192 184 infections with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen have been registered in Hesse.
In the regions, according to the RKI, the Lahn-Dill district continued to have the highest incidence value with 105, followed by the city of Offenbach with 104.4.
Throughout Hesse, 254 people suffering from Covid-19 were treated in intensive care units (as of Saturday, 8:19 a.m.), of which 136 had to be ventilated.
1693 of the intensive care beds available in the country in 1970 were occupied.
