Oberstdorf (AP) - The German ski jumpers are tackling the project to defend their title in team jumping with ex-world champion Severin Freund.

The 32-year-old won the direct duel against Martin Hamann in the Oberstdorf singles on Friday and is therefore in the German squad on Saturday (5 p.m. / ZDF and Eurosport), as confirmed by national coach Stefan Horngacher.

Freund will therefore start in second position, before that Pius Paschke will open for the winners of the 2019 World Cup.

Markus Eisenbichler jumps in the third group before Karl Geiger, a three-time medalist from Oberstdorf, is the last German to compete.
