Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The chairman of the board of the owner of the Stuttgart stock exchange, Michael Völter, is now also taking over the chief position at the stock exchange itself.

The 58-year-old will take up this position by the end of June at the latest, the stock exchange announced on Friday upon request.

Völter will then succeed the previous CEO, Alexander Höptner, who left the company at the end of the year.

Until Völter takes office, the stock exchange will initially continue to be managed by the remaining managing directors Stefan Bolle and Dragan Radanovic.

According to the company, Völter will also remain CEO of the owner of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange, the Association of Baden-Württemberg Stock Exchange.
