Mansfeld (dpa / sa) - Two people were seriously injured in a traffic accident between Mansfeld and Hettstedt (Mansfeld-Südharz district).
A 61-year-old car driver overtook on the federal highway 180 in a right turn on Thursday evening without being able to see it sufficiently, as the police announced on Friday.
An oncoming 35-year-old driver tried to evade his car and collided with another car.
A 35-year-old and his 36-year-old passenger sat in it.
The passenger and the driver who had evaded were seriously injured in the collision.
The person who caused the accident initially drove on, but could be identified by her license plate, it said.
The 35-year-old driver of the evasive car and the 61-year-old were uninjured.
