Due to the corona pandemic, the award ceremony will only take place digitally.
Which top restaurant gets the coveted award, which one does it lose?
Before the announcement in Frankfurt, there was absolute silence among those responsible for the restaurant guide.
Some houses had reacted to the crisis with shorter opening times or a smaller menu, explained the director of the Michelin Guide for Germany and Switzerland, Ralf Flinkenflügel.
That was not a benchmark for the evaluation, "we have accepted that".
In terms of quality, however, no compromises have been made, he said.
"A star has the same quality as in previous years."
