The British tabloid Mail on Sunday will have to report on its front page of its legal defeat against Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, who sued him for invasion of his privacy after the publication of a letter to his father, ruled on Friday the justice .

The 39-year-old ex-American actress won her lawsuit against the mass-circulation newspaper on February 11.

She blamed him for publishing a letter written in 2018, where she asked her father Thomas Markle to stop pouring out and lying in the media about their broken relationship.

The additional judgment rendered Friday by Judge Mark Warby relates more specifically to the copyright of this letter.

It obliges the tabloid, in addition to its front page, to mention on its third page having "infringed copyright" with this publication and will have to publish on its site a link to the court decision in its entirety.

Additional hearings, scheduled for October, must decide on a possible payment of compensation.

This judgment is rendered as the relations of the princely couple, who now live in California, were further strained with the rest of the British royal family, ahead of a much feared interview-confession granted to American television.

In this potentially explosive interview, Meghan and Harry will return to the reasons for their departure on Sunday, almost a year after their effective withdrawal from the monarchy.

The ex-American actress and the son of Diana, who died chased by paparazzi in 1997 in Paris, had among other things invoked media pressure, they who launched proceedings against several media.
