She suffered abuse, particularly sexual abuse, which was particularly dangerous.

The gendarmes of the Toulouse research section on Wednesday delivered a 27-year-old woman, kidnapped, raped and beaten by a man, at his home, since the previous night.

The alert for "disturbing disappearance" was given by a friend of the victim after the latter texted that "someone was trying to get back" to her home.

The first soldiers to arrive on the scene found an empty apartment but a handprint on the missing woman's car led them to a 28-year-old man, already known to the courts.

The young woman was found prostrate and rescued at her home.

The suspect was incarcerated

The public prosecutor of Toulouse, Dominique Alzéari evokes "a painful affair and unbearable facts", without wishing to dwell on these "abject" acts.

The arrested man was indicted on Friday for kidnapping, forcible confinement, rape, violence with a weapon, acts of torture and barbarism.

He was taken into custody.
