A call for witnesses was launched Thursday afternoon by the gendarmerie after the worrying disappearance of a 33-year-old man.

The body of this trail runner, who has been missing since Thursday, was found lifeless this Friday morning at the foot of a rocky bar in the town of Mieussy (Haute-Savoie).

The victim had left his vacation rental Wednesday afternoon to go for a jog.

Without news since, his family had contacted the gendarmerie.

This was followed by the establishment of a vast research device on Thursday, with the gendarmes, the PGHM, dog teams, firefighters and the Samoëns mountain rescue company.

The Choucas 74 helicopter, as well as another helicopter from Lyon and equipped with a thermal camera, as well as a drone from the gendarmerie, were also mobilized on Thursday.
