Hanover (dpa / lni) - In view of the staggered restart of school lessons, the Lower Saxony school management association calls for a vaccination offer for all school employees.

"The vaccination offer for teachers at primary and special schools from the beginning of next week is a first step," announced the association in Hanover.

Now it must also be made possible for employees of secondary and vocational schools to be vaccinated early and immediately if vaccination doses are left in districts and cities.

By the end of the Easter holidays at the latest, the teachers of all types of schools who wanted to be vaccinated must also be vaccinated, the school directors' association demanded.

The state student council and the state parents council called for a further expansion of infection protection in schools.

This included compulsory masks, vaccination and test offers as well as the option to buy air filter systems.

The student council also demanded that no masks be prescribed for exams that require a special level of concentration.

The schools in Lower Saxony will be expanding their operations again from March 15.

Then grades 5 to 7 and the 12th grade finish homeschooling.

You return to face-to-face teaching in an alternating model.

One week later, from March 22nd, all schools and age groups are supposed to return to alternating classes.

For elementary school students and graduating classes, attendance is again mandatory from next Monday (March 8th).

So far, the parents of these students could decide whether they want to send their children to school or let them study from home.
