The Corona pandemic has hit restaurants hard.

Hälsingland wants to remedy this, and has now decided to extend the outdoor serving season - all year round.

Previously, outdoor dining was only allowed between 1 April and the last of October.

Other municipal permits that are needed must be in place to allow outdoor dining, and also consent from the police authority.

Applicable corona restrictions also include outdoor cafes.

- This enables an expanded business for our restaurants, something that is especially important in these times that have hit the restaurant industry hard, says Marie Centerwall, S, chairman of the Local Government Association Hälsingland, and municipal councilor in Bollnäs.

- We hope that open outdoor cafes all year round can help reduce the financial consequences for the industry, she says in a statement on Bollnäs municipality's website.
