Berlin / Hanover (dpa / lni) - On the initiative of Lower Saxony, the Federal Council demanded an animal welfare tax on meat, milk and other animal products on Friday.
From the point of view of the regional chamber, this is a central element in promoting the realignment of agriculture.
In addition, a mandatory state animal welfare label is an important component for an ecological and animal-friendly orientation in agriculture.
The Federal Council's resolution will now be forwarded to the Federal Government.
