"Today the zero point begins for me."

That was the first words of José Manuel Villarejo upon his departure this Thursday from the National High Court, where since his arrest in 2007 he has testified on numerous occasions, but never at liberty like today.

"I am sure that all this hoax in the end will see the light at the moment in which I have the possibility to defend myself. I will absolutely ask for a copy of everything that was seized from me, which surprisingly only comes out 10%," he said, referring to his complaint that much of what was seized from him has not come to light and his lawyer has not gained access to it.

"And let it be clear that I was never a normal policeman, I never had an office, I never had anything and almost all my private jobs were conditioned by the public interest. As there were no reserved funds because how it is done in many countries the company is charged which is often helped by the strategic interest for Spain ", he said, offering an explanation of the private jobs for large companies that have generated several of the investigations against him.

Villarejo has not wanted to give information about his meetings with the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General Dolores Delgado, who has considered "personal issues."

Among the recordings of meetings in Villarejo that have been released is a meal with, among others, Delgado and former judge

Baltasar Garzón

.

"I would like someone to really investigate all those leaks that have been who have made them, but nobody wants to investigate them. It is amazing to be in a cell of five square meters, with all the communications intervened and suddenly they say that Villarejo leaks" .

It has been the CNI

It has also denied that it has funds abroad and has affirmed that the only corporate structure it had was set up by the CNI.

He has also affirmed that it was the intelligence services that made "90% of the recordings" that were found of him and that they are the ones who can decrypt the material that is supposedly not possible to access.

Villarejo has insisted, as he did yesterday upon his release from Estremera prison after three years and four months in prison, that he is willing to testify about everything.

Currently the

Tandem case

has been detached in some thirty different investigations.

With the impetus of someone who has just achieved freedom, they seem few to Villarejo: "If they let me, I want to declare up to 100 pieces, 30 seem few to me."

At the moment, this Thursday he has had to answer for pieces number 26 and 29, on the alleged orders to spy on the disappeared

Segur Ibérica

and the businessman

Joaquín Molpeceres
