Leverkusen (dpa) - The injury concerns at Bundesliga soccer team Bayer Leverkusen are getting bigger and bigger.

Left-back Daley Sinkgraven has torn a muscle fiber in his left thigh and is expected to be out for three weeks, according to the club.

In addition to the 25-year-old, Bayer is currently missing in Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Paulinho (both cruciate ligament tear), Santiago Arias (fibula fracture), Julian Baumgartlinger (cruciate ligament injury), Lars Bender (meniscus surgery) and Florian Wirtz (positive corona test) six top performers.

In addition, Leon Bailey is yellow-banned in the next game on Saturday at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Some other professionals such as Sven Bender, Karim Bellarabi and Ezequiel Palacios have just come from some longer injury breaks and can only be used in doses.
