Freiburg (dpa / lsw) - According to Freiburg's coach Christian Streich, RB Leipzig should deliver a close championship race with FC Bayern Munich until the end of the season.
"I can very well imagine that it will be and will remain a duel," said the coach of the Bundesliga club two days before Freiburg's home game against RB on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky).
He could imagine “that Leipzig can maintain this level”.
The 55-year-old praised the upcoming opponent in the highest tones: "We know what to expect on Saturday in terms of physicality, speed and, last but not least, the enormous football quality."
In order to have a chance against Leipzig, his team had to play the way they did last Sunday in the away win in Leverkusen - "only half a class better".
Then the sports club could influence the title fight in the Bundesliga and even move closer to the international positions.
