Solingen (dpa / lnw) - An 82-year-old woman was seriously injured in an apartment fire in Solingen.
The fire broke out in the apartment of an apartment building late Wednesday evening, but it was quickly extinguished, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
At first it could not be ruled out that the elderly woman was in mortal danger.
A neighbor had also been taken to a hospital with mild smoke poisoning.
The exact cause of the fire was initially not known.
