The 97-year-old princess was admitted to hospital on Monday with a diagnosis of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, according to Kyodo.
She was expected to stay there for a week, but Yuriko Mikasa's condition has improved and does not cause anxiety.
In September 2020, the princess was also admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and heart failure.
