Potsdam (dpa / bb) - To accelerate the vaccinations against the coronavirus in Brandenburg, the doctor's practices are to be included nationwide from the beginning of April.

Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher (Greens) announced this on Friday in the special session of the state parliament on the corona decisions of the federal and state governments.

"This is the only way we can achieve 500,000 vaccinations a month by the end of September," she emphasized.

To this end, the federal vaccination ordinance will be amended accordingly, said the minister.

As part of a model project, vaccinations have been taking place in four medical practices in Brandenburg since Wednesday.

The test run is to be expanded to include up to 50 practices by the end of the month.
