Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) Hamburg has described the new Corona resolutions as a "disaster for hotels and restaurateurs, but also for thousands of employees and trainees".

"All areas of our business that are relevant for a city like Hamburg remain closed," said Dehoga Vice President Niklaus Kaiser von Rosenburg on Thursday of the German Press Agency in Hamburg.

The medium-sized and small supplier industry will also be destroyed in this way.

A possible opening of outdoor restaurants in Hamburg only makes economic sense for a fraction of the companies.

In addition, the trend towards ecological and regional is set back by years.

Most recently, the hoteliers and restaurateurs had called for an open perspective with rapid tests and vaccination confirmations in a resolution.

"That politicians are now completely ignoring this again is a devastating signal."

In order to be able to at least take the Easter business with you with sufficient lead time, Dehoga Hamburg is demanding a clear commitment to open up with rapid tests at Easter by March 22nd.

"It is irresponsible that people can go on vacation abroad if the rules are adhered to, but for Germany with its high safety and hygiene standards there is no opening perspective in the hotel industry."
