Nortorf (dpa / lno) - In the end-of-terrace house in Nortorf (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district), which was completely destroyed after an explosion, the police found a body on Thursday.

The body still has to be identified, but it is assumed that it is the missing 54-year-old, said the Kiel prosecutor Michael Bimler.

The body was found around 11 a.m. on the upper floor of the house.

A preliminary investigation was launched against the woman's partner on suspicion of manslaughter, causing an explosive explosion and serious arson, Bimler said.

An arrest warrant will be requested during the day.

The media had previously reported.

The woman's 56-year-old partner was the first to be reported missing on the Monday after the explosion.

He was found half unconscious in his vehicle in Nortorf on Monday.

According to Bimler, he was still in the hospital on Thursday.

He has not yet given any information.
