China Coal Association: my country's coal security capacity continues to increase during the 13th Five-Year Plan
The China Coal Industry Association released a report on the reform and development of my country's coal industry on March 3. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, my country's coal production capacity reduction targets have been exceeded, the quality of the coal supply system has been significantly improved, and the security capacity of coal has continued to increase.
According to the data, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, 5,500 coal mines nationwide have been withdrawn, and 1 billion tons of outdated coal production capacity has been withdrawn. While outdated production capacity is eliminated, the quality of coal supply across the country has significantly improved. By the end of 2020, the number of coal mines nationwide will be reduced to 4,700. The average single well size of coal mines nationwide increased from 350,000 tons per year to 1.1 million tons per year, an increase of 214.3%. The output of 14 large coal bases accounted for 96.6% of the country’s total output, an increase of 3.6 percentage points from 2015.
▌China Coal Industry Association spokesperson Zhang Hong: Large modern coal mines have become the mainstay of coal production and supply in the country. There are more than 1,200 large coal mines with an annual output of 1.2 million tons, accounting for more than 80% of the country’s total coal output, especially large-scale coal mines. The production flexibility of coal mines is relatively large, and the country's coal supply guarantee capacity has increased substantially.
According to the China Coal Industry Association, during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, through the closure of outdated production capacity and small coal mines, the mechanization level of coal mines across the country has been greatly improved, the digitalization, intelligent and green transformation of coal mines has been accelerated, and the degree of coal mining mechanization of large coal enterprises has reached 98.86%. More than 400 intelligent mining faces have been built across the country, and 19 coal mining robots such as coal mining and inspection are widely used underground. The safety production situation of coal mines has continued to improve steadily, and production efficiency has increased significantly. The annual per capita work efficiency of coal mines nationwide has increased from 925 tons to More than 2,600 tons, an increase of 181%.
