Schymkent (dpa) - The soccer players of FC Bayern can plan for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Munich team won the first leg at Kasygurt Schymkent in Kazakhstan 6-1 (2-0) on Thursday and celebrated their 19th competitive win in a row.

The second leg of the round of 16 on Wednesday (6.15 p.m.) in the stadium on the FC Bayern Campus is only a matter of form.

The quarter-finals and semi-finals will then be drawn on March 12th.

Lineth Beerensteyn put Munich in the lead in the tenth minute in Schymkent, Lea Schüller (27th) increased before the break.

After the break, Linda Dallmann (47th / 90th / penalty), Hanna Glas (62nd) and Bayern debutante Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir (67th) met for coach Jens Scheuer's team.

Rachael Kundananji (81st) only managed the consolation goal for the Kazakh women.
