Taunusstein (dpa / lhe) - In Taunusstein (Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis), the fire in a barn on Thursday caused damage of around 50,000 euros, according to initial estimates.
Since the fire brigade in the field between the districts of Orlen and Wehen did not have access to extinguishing water, the emergency services could only burn down the barn in a controlled manner, as the police in Bad Schwalbach announced.
The fire was reported around midnight.
In the barn, hay as animal feed and an agricultural utility vehicle were stored.
No one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire was initially unknown.
