  • Three students from a large school in Lille have created their own polling company.

  • The surveys are presented to their panel through a mobile application.

  • Users are “paid” in gift cards, the amount of which depends on the time spent answering questionnaires.

“Hello, this is for a survey”.

In general, responding to a business survey is an exercise to be avoided like the plague.

Especially since, most of the time, pollsters run into you in the street during your lunch break or on the phone after a hard day at work.

Suddenly, lazy, especially since it does not bring anything.

Three Lille students have therefore developed “Answer-it”, an application for paid surveys that can be answered when all you have to do is do it.

“People who respond to polls or satisfaction surveys never really have an interest in doing so.

It is also often very boring and laborious, ”noted Benjamin Alt, co-founder of the start-up Selvitys polls.

To attract the client, the three Ieseg students had the idea of paying the participants: “In the end, it's time given to help companies that deserve a reward,” he admits.

A "remuneration" for the time spent

There is no question of money here.

The start-up offers multi-brand gift cards of 10 to 100 euros that we receive depending on the time spent answering questionnaires.

"Five minutes brings you 10 points and it takes 100 points to reach 10 euros", explains the co-founder.

Knowing that the surveys last on average, depending on the number of questions asked, between 2 and 6 minutes, it will be necessary to be diligent to win the jackpot.

However, the advantage is that you can get started anytime.

"The '' Answer-it '' application allows users to answer surveys as soon as they have a little time, when they queue in a store for example," says Benjamin Alt.

Launched on Monday, the idea has already attracted more than 2,000 users.

A nice panel assembled in just three days.

“Most are people aged 25 to 35 and students living mainly in Hauts-de-France,” explains the entrepreneur.

On the customer side, Selvitys targets project leaders to begin with, before tackling the big brands, fond of larger panels.

Surveys are billed between 500 and 900 euros excluding tax depending on the number of questions asked.

At the moment, Answer-it notably offers a study on a smart fridge or a questionnaire for a regional reduction card reserved for students.
