Berlin (dpa) - The federal and state governments will agree on how to proceed in the corona crisis on Wednesday (2 p.m.)

Before the renewed consultations between Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the Prime Minister, the voices of those from the business world who are calling for a comprehensive use of rapid tests and for easing the corona measures have become louder.

However, some country leaders have warned against a comprehensive easing.

Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) does not currently see any quick opening steps - first of all, the infrastructure must be in place for mass rapid and self-tests, he said.

North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU) recently promoted cautious openings.

Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) spoke out in favor of adopting a step-by-step and perspective plan for the way out of the corona lockdown at the federal-state consultations.

He said on Tuesday in the ARD “Morgenmagazin” that the country chiefs were willing to present a specific plan.

It must also be possible to react appropriately to regional infections.

Berlin's governing mayor and chairman of the Prime Minister's Conference, Michael Müller (SPD), had spoken out in favor of a step-by-step plan several times.
