Ostia (AP) - Water polo record champion Spandau 04 narrowly missed a sensational victory against four-time winner Jug Dubrovnik in the Champions League.
After the 7: 7 against CN Marseille on Monday and the 12: 6 against the Italian club CC Ortigia on Tuesday, the Berliners lost on Wednesday evening after a strong performance against the Croatian favorites 10:12 (3: 3.2: 3.2: 3 , 3: 3).
The German record champions will face Olympiacos on Thursday.
“That was another good game for us, in which we unfortunately didn't reward ourselves any more in the end.
