The recycling ramp on Bredviksberget, or popularly "Brevika", has been extended and has more containers.

This is so that more visitors can sort waste at the same time.

- We have made quite big changes and reversed the order here.

Now you simply drive in the other direction towards what you are used to before, says Kjell Lundholm, Pireva.

"Quick to get rid of rubbish"

The ups and downs have been reversed and when you enter the area you have to make a big turn before you get up on the new and extended ramp.

Piteå resident Jerry Bergström has sorted waste before and is pleased with the change.

He suspects it may

- Before there was often a long queue and you had to wait a while but now it looks great.

It is quick to get rid of the rubbish, says Piteå resident Jerry Bergström and throws some rubbish in a container.

Signs should simplify messy start

But it is literally awkward at first and not quite easy to get the right side of the new.

- It can get a little messy in the beginning when more people have to drive around the area, says Jerry Bergström and is supported by Pireva's Kjell Lundholm:

- You can be a little thoughtful about where to drive.

Not everything is finished and we are putting up signs.

But when everything is ready, I think you will appreciate this, says Kjell Lundholm.

Reduced waste - more recycling

A newly built facility for recycling is now also in the area and it will be staffed by staff from Repris.

There, Piteå residents will be able to leave things that someone else can benefit from - all for more recycling and less waste.
