Vaccination of the new coronavirus vaccine by American pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson has begun in various parts of the United States.

"This will provide a vaccine that will reach all adults by the end of May," Biden said after revealing that pharmaceutical giant Merck would cooperate in the production of the vaccine.

The US FDA = Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use permit for the new coronavirus vaccine of pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson on February 27, and the vaccine transportation began on the 1st of this month.

The vaccine arrived at the Ohio State University hospital in Columbus, Ohio on the 2nd, and vaccination began.

This vaccine, which is the third type of vaccine approved for use in the United States, requires only one inoculation and can be stored at a refrigerator temperature of 2 to 8 degrees for 3 months, making it easier to transport and store. It is expected that the pace of inoculation will accelerate.

President Biden has revealed that another pharmaceutical giant, Merck, has decided to cooperate in the production of the vaccine.

Until now, Johnson End Johnson was supposed to supply 100 million doses by the end of June, but the U.S. government has the president's authority to ask private companies to cooperate under the "Defense Production Act" of Merck. The company plans to accelerate production by supporting the maintenance of production facilities.

"This will allow us to supply enough vaccine to reach all adults in the United States by the end of May," Biden said, adding that the supply target, which had been set at the end of July, could be advanced.
