Kiel (dpa / lno) - Co-trainer Christian Sprenger has extended his contract with the German handball master THW Kiel until June 30, 2023.
The club announced on Wednesday.
“The Jicha / Sprenger duo was and is an ideal combination for our club,” said managing director Viktor Szilagyi.
Head coach Jicha had already extended his contract to 2023 in September last year.
Sprenger moved from SC Magdeburg to THW in 2009.
The left-hander had played 393 games for Kiel.
He and the team won the Champions League twice, five German championships and the DHB Cup four times.
In 2017 Sprenger ended his playing career.
Jicha called his 37-year-old assistant "a benefit for the entire THW Kiel organization".
The head coach confessed: "I'm really happy to have him by my side."
