Cambio is dominant in the Swedish market with its journal system Cambio Cosmic.

It is already in use in eight regions, and is about to be introduced in a further nine.

In Region Skåne, another supplier has been chosen, American Cerner.

However, due to legal ambiguities, the transfer of personal data to the subsidiary's servers has been stopped.

This is because US authorities may request data from servers owned by US companies.

It does not matter where in the world the servers are.

Cambio uses US Microsoft's cloud service Azure.

But according to Cambio's CEO Peter Gille, no patient data is stored on servers owned by US companies.

- We have had it in mind when we work with cloud services, that it is not regulated how this should happen.

We do not store any patient information cloud-related, says Peter Gille.
