- For me to feel that it is obvious, I would need some kind of protection.

That I can testify without them getting my name, he says.

Johan, whose real name is something else, was threatened and beaten by several unknown perpetrators.

- I was very panicked.

They were not just robbers.

They did not just want a cell phone and a jacket.

I got the feeling that they wanted to hurt people and maybe get a jacket on the purchase, says Johan.

Witness anonymously

A police investigation into the incident is currently underway.

Both Johan and his mother say that the only way for them to feel completely safe is if Johan were allowed to testify anonymously, something that is not allowed in Sweden today.

Despite this, Johan wants to testify, but his mother hesitates.

-I as a parent also have a dilemma.

That I send the wrong signals to my son and that in some way you almost convey some kind of distrust of the police and authorities, which is not good either.

But at the same time, the most important thing is to protect their children, she says.
