Lahnstein (dpa / lrs) - Despite a film-ready escape over the roofs of a house, a wanted criminal was arrested in Lahnstein.

The man sought by the arrest warrant evaded the police's access by fling into a house and on the roof, the officials announced on Tuesday.

He jumped from roof to roof at a height of up to eight meters.

A large contingent of police followed on the ground, and police dogs were reportedly in use.

Eventually the man was arrested in a cellar.

He had narcotics with him, so another criminal case awaits him.
