Berghaupten (dpa / lsw) - After the fatal collision between a scooter driver and a semi-trailer truck on federal highway 33, the police are looking for the truck.
Its driver had overlooked the two-wheeler when changing to the right lane near Berghaupten (Ortenaukreis).
The 69-year-old scooter driver was injured so badly in the collision that he died at the scene of the accident.
The truck driver fled from the scene of the accident, several patrol cars and a helicopter searched in vain for the car.
Witnesses who can provide information about the blue semi-trailer truck they are looking for with white inscription or the accident are asked to contact the investigating officers on 0781 21-4200.
