According to Klin, the other day Maksimenko was returned from the hospital back to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center.

“I fell ill with covid and spent 29 days in the hospital (at the SIZO“ Matrosskaya Tishina ”-

RT

).

A week ago I was discharged, now I am recovering, ”Maksimenko said.

According to him, he was taken to the prison hospital on the sixth day of illness, with a temperature of 39 and 60% of his lungs affected.

“I don’t even remember if I got up.

Not that I said goodbye to everyone, but I thought that the chances to get out are less than 50 to 50, ”recalls Valery Maksimenko.

The POC said that cellmate Maksimenko also fell ill with coronavirus, but he was discharged earlier.

Wedge noted that at the same time Maksimenko is in favor of vaccination.

“It is necessary to be vaccinated, I wrote to all my relatives to be vaccinated.

And when he was in charge of health care at the FSIN, he always insisted on full vaccination, and, in my opinion, now everyone here (in FSIN institutions -

RT

) needs to be vaccinated against covid, "said the former deputy head of the department.

According to Maksimenko, living conditions in the Matrosskaya Tishina hospital are better than in Lefortovo.

"There is not only a refrigerator and a TV in the cell, but also a shower, and the FSIN-letter e-mail system, and the FSIN-purchase electronic store," said the former deputy director of the FSIN.

Maksimenko also told human rights activists that at his post he tried to get showers installed in the Lefortovo cells, but they did not listen to his opinion.

Maksimenko admitted that in the hospital he “missed Lefortovo because of the good food in this detention center.

Earlier Maksimenko told human rights activists that the food in this pre-trial detention center is better than in prisons in Europe and Asia.

On November 26, it became known that Maksimenko was detained on charges of abuse of power.
