Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - Bundesliga soccer club Eintracht Frankfurt has confirmed talks with sports director Fredi Bobic about an early departure of the 49-year-old in the summer.

The Hessians denied on Tuesday that the decision had already been made.

"We have agreed to hold appropriate talks about a whereabouts or an early change and to maintain absolute silence about this in the interests of the sporting success of Eintracht," said the chairman of the board, Philip Holzer, according to a statement.

These are "currently not yet completed and will only be continued after the next supervisory board meeting in mid-March".

The ARD had previously reported that Bobic had confirmed the farewell in the summer on the program “Sportschau Thema”, which will be broadcast this Tuesday (11 p.m. / ARD).

Holzer said of the process that Bobic approached him three weeks ago and informed him of his thoughts.

According to media reports, the ex-national player is drawn to Frankfurt's league rivals Hertha BSC.
