KD leader before the meeting: "Hope for constructive talks"

Before today's hearing, Ebba Busch has submitted a written comment:

"I regret that we have not been able to meet and resolve this earlier despite repeated attempts. This means that we are now being seen in the district court for an oral hearing. It is important that this is handled in a correct and correct manner. I hope for constructive talks, where we can reach a solution with the help of the court. "

Busch's lawyer Katrin Björklund also writes the following:

"What happens tomorrow is a so-called oral hearing. From our perspective, the legal situation is clear and it is well substantiated that my client has acted correctly. Despite this, she has been, and continues to be, willing to meet in several different alternatives to conciliation. "We are entering this oral hearing with the hope of reaching a solution now."

This is how Ebba Busch will use the 81-year-old's own words against him

The 81-year-old seller's legal representative claims that his client suffers from memory problems and cognitive impairments that made him not fully understand the agreement he signed.

This is supported by a psychologist's statement made at the end of last year.

But yesterday, Ebba Busch's lawyer, Katrin Björklund, in turn submitted a submission to the district court stating that the 81-year-old's own words will be used against him.

The lawyer mentions two interrogations of witnesses that the man did in 2019 and 2020 in a traffic case, which she believes proves that he does not have the alleged cognitive impairment.

"In this negotiation, Esbjörn reproduced in a relatively detailed way what happened in the traffic incident, which was then about 1.5 years back in time," writes Katrin Björklund in the submission.

The lawyer also points out that the older man conducted interviews in which he contradicted his own statements, and that this will also be used as evidence in a possible main hearing.
