All other sanctions imposed by the Americans are inherently illegal, "Jabarov said. 

At the same time, he urged to be calm about the fact of the next expansion of sanctions against Russia.

) do not understand that these sanctions will have no result," the senator added.

Earlier, the EU announced the introduction of new sanctions against Russia due to the situation with Alexei Navalny.

The sanctions affected Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service Alexander Kalashnikov and the head of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov.

Following the European Union, the United States announced the expansion of the sanctions regime against Russia.

As stated in the US administration, the measures will be applied to seven "high-ranking officials."
