Bielefeld (AP) - Bundesliga soccer team Arminia Bielefeld has signed Frank Kramer as the new head coach.
The 48-year-old will receive a contract with Ostwestfalen until June 30, 2023, as the club announced on Tuesday.
Kramer will lead his first training session with the team in the morning.
It will then be officially presented at an online press conference at 1 p.m.
Several media had previously reported unanimously about it.
Kramer succeeds promotion coach Uwe Neuhaus, from whom Arminia parted on Monday after five games without a win.
"We have had convincing discussions with Frank Kramer and are looking forward to the joint task of further developing our team in all areas," said sports director Samir Arabi according to the announcement.

Kramer had coached TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on an interim basis for two games in the Bundesliga in 2012 and SpVgg Greuther Fürth in 2013, and Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2nd division in 2015 for just under five months.
From 2016 to 2019 he coached various youth teams of the German Football Association.
Most recently, the 48-year-old headed the young talent center of the Austrian champions RB Salzburg.

"Frank is a multi-faceted trainer with a lot of experience in the professional and youth field," said Arabi.
