Lollar (dpa / lhe) - In view of the faltering collective bargaining for the metal and electrical industry, the first protests by IG Metall have started in Hesse.

In Lollar in the Gießen district, trade unionists were already out and about on Monday from 4 a.m., as a spokesman for IG Metall in Central Hesse said.

There, requirements were projected onto the facade of a Bosch factory with a light installation.

The second chairwoman of IG Metall, Christiane Benner, also spoke.

There were no large gatherings of people there.

There has also been an action in Kassel since 6 a.m., as a union spokesman said.

A local radio station is running a special broadcast in Darmstadt.

In general, many of the planned events on Monday are more internal.

IG Metall has called for warning strikes across the country.

After the end of the peace obligation, these should begin one minute after midnight on Tuesday (March 2nd).

The union demands four percent more wages for the approximately 3.8 million employees - where things are going badly in a company, in the form of wage compensation with reduced working hours.

So far, employers have promised wage increases for 2022 at the earliest.
