Gävlehandlaren Henrik on the new law against repeated thefts: "It will create security"

The new law allows merchants to prohibit thieves from entering the store.

The trader Henrik Rydberg works in a grocery store in Gävle and he hopes that the new law will lead to faster police efforts.

- It will create security.

In the long term, we hope that it will be more dissuasive to repeat thefts and that we will be able to reject in a simpler way, says Henrik Rydberg.

Varied thefts

Henrik Rydberg believes that there is everything from minor thefts to more organized. 

- Many people use the entire store as their own pantry and come and pick up what they want and just go out, he says.
