Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In Potsdam, fire broke out at the night camps of two homeless people.

The police said on Monday that several fir trees, which one of the men used to hide his belongings, went up in flames on Saturday.

Witnesses extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.

However, the man could no longer be found.

Another man's tent burned down elsewhere.

In addition, the homeless man's jacket and hair caught fire.

In this case, too, a witness with a fire extinguisher came to help.

However, police officers could not have found any external injuries.

The man is said to have refused medical care.

In both cases, the cause of the fire is unclear.

The investigation has now taken over the criminal police.
