Dresden (dpa) - Third division leader Dynamo Dresden is planning, as expected, two-pronged for the coming season.

As the Saxons announced on Monday evening, the license for the 3rd league and the German Football League for the right to play in the 2nd Bundesliga have been requested from the German Football Association.

The corresponding licensing documents were submitted on time.

"Despite the situation surrounding the corona pandemic, which continues to be unusual for society as a whole and also for us as an association, we are also assuming this year that the license will be granted without any economic conditions," said Dynamo managing director Jürgen Wehlend in a message quoted.

A confirmation by the DFB and DFL is expected by mid-April.

After 25 games, the team of coach Markus Kauczinski is the sovereign leader of the third division and is aiming for a direct return to the second division.
