Heidelberg (dpa) - After the fatal knife attack on a 13-year-old in Sinsheim, the urgently suspected 14-year-old continues to deny the act.

He had protested his innocence when the arrest warrant was opened.

According to the Heidelberg public prosecutor's office on Monday, he has not withdrawn his statements.

In their investigations, the investigators also shed light on the role of the 12-year-old girl, about whom the two boys should have had jealousy disputes.

"The child will certainly be of particular interest for the investigation," said the prosecution.

Since it is a child, no further information is given.

The 14-year-old was arrested on Wednesday with a kitchen knife in hand next to the bodies of the boy and the girl in the Eschelbach district.
