Raghavan Srinivasan, graying hair, arrives at AIIMS public hospital in south-eastern New Delhi.

He speaks to the guard for a few minutes before being able to enter: “

It was very difficult to register because the site is down.

I managed to get an identifier, but I did not receive the SMS with the time of my visit.

So I try my luck.

Rohit Bhasin, 60, chose to be vaccinated in a private hospital, that of Moolchand located in an upscale neighborhood in the south of the capital.

And must pay 250 rupees for it, almost 3 euros: “

I am more used to private hospitals, and I considered that it would be better organized.

And the price to pay is really low.

I would even have preferred it to be higher, because we can afford it, and that would subsidize vaccines for those who need them.

 "

In addition to people over 60, India is now vaccinating those over 45 with chronic illnesses or immune deficiencies.

Which represents more than 100 million Indians.
