He spends his time for hours every day in front of his computer screen on one of the popular classic programs, the "painter" program, to work on producing some of the drawings that he loves to work on from an early age.

You might imagine that we are talking about a person who has recently dealt with computers in the nineties or the beginning of the current millennium. However, the talk here is about the Egyptian plastic artist, “Mohamed Akram,” a young man in his thirties who works until the present time on the production of various drawings through this ancient program.

Life story of Muhammad

Mohsen, Muhammad's uncle, recounting the life story of Muhammad, says that two years after his birth, doctors diagnosed him with nerve paralysis, which led to quadriplegic paralysis that deprived him of the ability to move or even speak, and medicine has been unable to treat him until now.

He points out that the reason was the increase in the rate of anesthesia that Muhammad’s mother underwent to avoid the pain of childbirth, and that later affected the child and his mother, who remained in a coma for 4 months before she died - may God have mercy on her - as for Muhammad, he went out to the world and lived with her as his grandmother was caring for him. The woman who died - may God have mercy on her - to move afterwards to his uncle's house and remain under his care afterwards, according to his confirmation to Al-Jazeera Net.

The attempts to treat the young artist did not stop despite his presentation to many doctors who confirmed the lack of hope in treating his condition, so he turned to physical therapy, which resulted in a limited development of his condition, but with the cessation of development in the case, he stopped physiotherapy to remain in his health condition that does not help him to perform his needs. According to his statements, his uncle Mohsen helps him to make up for him, as he works to provide him with food and drink, washing and other things at a regular time and on a daily basis.

This is how he learned to draw and write

The question here becomes: How did Muhammad learn drawing by computer?

How does he communicate with others despite his inability to speak or move normally?

The answer to that, Mohsen asserts, is that communication takes place through a computer as well, as Muhammad uses the well-known writing program "Word" to write what he wants those who communicate with him to receive.

According to his uncle, Muhammad learned to write, and his talent grew thanks to his deceased grandmother who taught him how to read and write by combining letters using cubes, so he realized their method.

And it was his grandmother who planted and cultivated artistic talent in him and taught him to write through it, so he used to make shapes with them also to get used to.

He adds that after purchasing the computer, the painter program attracted his attention and learned how to use it, noting that Muhammad's talents are not limited to that, as he is a good listener of the Holy Qur’an to the point of memorizing it completely through listening and reading that he has been regularly using since he was young.

Boards and posts

Regarding the time it takes to produce a single painting, Mohsen emphasized that Muhammad might spend hours in order to draw one painting that he works on drawing by coloring the squares provided by the painter program, and using lines and circles for the construction process of a single drawing, which requires a mental effort that he cannot Any normal person can do it to draw a painting through the little squares.

It should be noted that Muhammad participated in many local and international artistic festivals and events in which he received certificates of appreciation, such as the Qaf International Art Forum, the Arab Plastic Artists Association, the Art Awakening Exhibition of the Culture Palaces Authority, and other forums, in addition to his membership in the Syndicate of Fine Artists and a number of institutions And other technical bodies.
