An investigation by the gendarmerie was opened, after the services of the agglomeration of Nîmes (Gard) noted an act of vandalism, Friday evening, on a water tank, which supplies part of the city with drinking water .
The tank cover was torn off, indicates the community, which has filed a complaint against X.
All danger lifted
The tank in question was immediately isolated, and the first available results revealed the absence of toxicity.
However, residents of some neighborhoods, including Mas de Mingue, Courbessac and Chemin Bas d'Avignon, have been asked not to drink tap water, and bottle distributions have been set up.
On Saturday, all danger was ruled out, and the precautionary measures were lifted.
