The environmental organization called on the Hamburg Senate to press ahead with the energy transition and to reject the conversion of the power plant to wood burning.
This would also have a signal effect for similar projects in other cities.
The Hamburg environmental authority is currently looking into burning wood from Namibia instead of coal in the Tiefstack power plant.
