“It is with deep regret that we inform our fellow citizens, colleagues, friends, the Zagreb and Croatian public that suddenly, today, February 28, at the age of 66, the mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandic, died of a heart attack,” the newspaper Jutarnji list reports.
According to the newspaper, Bandich became ill on the night of February 28, he was urgently taken to the hospital of the Holy Spirit, where he later died.
