Jettingen-Scheppach (dpa / lby) - A run-over calf caused around 300 late trains on Saturday.

The animal was captured and killed by a passenger train on the way from Ulm to Munich, the police said on Sunday.

After the accident in Jettingen-Scheppach (Günzburg district), the route was completely closed for hours.

The train suffered damage of around 10,000 euros.

People weren't hurt.

The animal, weighing over 200 kilos, was pulled from the tracks with a rope.

It had apparently fallen from a trailer while being transported and ran away.
