From January 1, 2023, it is planned to abolish outdated regulatory documents and introduce an updated form of the work book and the procedure for maintaining and storing it.

At the same time, old-style work books will not need to be replaced with new ones and they will remain valid.

Employers who still have old-style workbooks and inserts in them will also be able to continue using them.

The employer will still be obliged to keep the employee's work book if this work is the main one for him.

In the case of remote work, information about it is entered in the work book at the request of the employee.

When drawing up a work book of a new sample, the surname, name and patronymic (if any) of the employee, his date of birth, education, profession and specialty will be entered into it.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for the possibility of including records of work experience until 2020 in the electronic workbook.

4.2 million people applied for the choice of keeping a work book in electronic format.
